Battersea appoint Medialab as media agency

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has appointed Medialab as their media buying partner.

The appointment follows a tender for the consolidation of the charity's offline media buying.

It comes after a four-way pitch, in which Medialab beat incumbents Edit, John Ayling and Associates, and MI Media. The agency will now look after all offline fundraising media strategy and buying.

Medialab will begin a strategic review alongside Battersea in order to create an integrated media plan for 2020. The charity will work with its incumbent agencies for the remainder of 2019 on DRTV, press, and third party inserts.

Commenting on the appointment, Alex Kirk, managing director at Medialab, said: “We could not be more delighted to win this pitch. Not only is Battersea a brilliant brand who we can be proud to help make a difference for, but we believe Battersea has huge growth potential and can’t wait to start working together on an integrated strategy.” 

Jo Stone, head of public fundraising at Battersea, added: “We are delighted to be working with Medialab, and believe that using just one media agency can provide a wealth of added value in terms of strategic overview and impact.”
