British luxury fashion brand, Mulberry, has appointed Charles Anderson to the company's board of directors as Group Finance Director with effect from early October 2019.

Anderson replaces Neil Ritchie who, as previously announced, stepped down from the Board on 30 June 2019.

The company said Anderson has over 20 years' experience as a finance professional, the last 17 of which were at Ted Baker, the FTSE 250 global lifestyle brand, initially as Head of Finance and then, from 2014, as Finance Director of the group's subsidiaries.

During his time at Ted Baker, in addition to developing and overseeing its global finance function, Anderson played an active role in its international expansion and systems transformation and oversaw its investor relations programme. He also assumed the role of Company Secretary.

Prior to joining Ted Baker, Charles held various finance positions at House of Fraser, NatWest Markets and Carpetright.

Anderson is an ACMA and was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2000.

"We are delighted to welcome Charles to the Mulberry team”, said Thierry Andretta, Mulberry's Chief Executive Officer.

“His experience of developing and overseeing a global finance function during a period of international expansion will be relevant as we grow Mulberry worldwide."
