Ignis wins Asahi UK account

London creative agency ignis has been appointed as the lead On and Off Trade agency for Asahi UK.

The agency will work with the drinks brand across the UK, and will be responsible for campaigns across its entire portfolio.

Asahi was founded in Japan in 1889. It is best known in the UK for its Super Dry beer, one of its top-selling products worldwide.

Ignis, based in Fulham and celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, boasts a roster of clients including James, Fuller's, Chivas, and Marriott International.

Commenting on the win, ignis founder and managing director Stephanie Whitaker said: “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our 30th anniversary than to add brands of the renown and calibre of Peroni, Asahi Super Dry and Meantime to the agency.

We cannot wait to see the campaigns come to life.”

Tom Smith, head of trade marketing at Asahi UK, added: “From our very first meeting we were blown away by the creativity and passion for our brands on show from the whole ignis team."
