Grey Europe has recruited Tide Ad mastermind Javier Campopiano into a new role as chief creative officer of Grey Europe and global clients.

Campopiano joins from FCB Mexico, where he served a year as a partner and CCO.

He will work alongside Grey Europe president and CEO Eduardo Maruri, and will oversee creative development and talent recruitment for key global accounts.

Campopiano will be based in both London and Madrid.

As Adweek reports, prior to his sting at FCB Mexico Campopiano worked as CCO of Saatchi & Saatchi New York.

There he was responsible for the 'It's A Tide Ad' creative that made a splash at the 2018 Super Bowl.

The ad won the Film Grand Prix and Titanium at the 2018 Cannes Lions.

Commenting on the appointment, Grey Europe global chief creative officer John Patroulis said: “Javier is a creative force with a world-class reputation for innovative, beautifully crafted work.

“Plus, as a proven creative leader he’s a perfect fit for this new role specifically focused on driving creativity and growth for global clients. No one is better suited to deliver on our promise to use the power of creativity to solve business problems and seize new business opportunities as he works top-to-top with clients in our borderless model. He’s a special talent, and we’re lucky to have him.”
