London user experience company Contentsquare has partnered with Pan-African marketplace Jumia in its latest expansion into the MENA region.

Jumia, an online retail platform, has appointed Contentsquare to work across customer journey insight.

Contentsquare says it will use its technology to understand customer behaviour, integrating its tech as Jumia rolls out its own in-house personalised product recommendation tool.

The company's UK managing director Duncan Keene commented: “Increasingly, more purchases are made online, via marketplaces like Jumia. So, enabling those marketplaces to operate more efficiently using comprehensive analytics solutions like Contentsquare, that provide actionable insight in near real-time, not only boosts productivity but also improves customer journeys. This is key to remaining competitive in any ecommerce business.

"Jumia has already benefited from our digital experience platform, helping prepare the marketplace for a successful rollout of its personalised product recommendation tool.”

The appointment is the latest move in Contentsquare's rapid recent expansion.

As previously reported, earlier this month the company made two acquisitions in the space of a week.

Contentsquare bought digital experience platform Clicktale, and price optimisation company Pricing Assistant.
