TMW Unlimited has promoted Dan Bowers to a new position as chief strategy officer.

Bowers, who previously worked as head of planning at the agency, replaces outgoing CSO Kate Wheaton.

As we reported this morning, Wheaton has moved to Ogilvy where she will work as head of customer engagement strategy.

Bowers will oversee a team of 30 strategists, and will report directly to chief operating officer Alex Burley.

Commenting on the appointment, Burley said: "Dan’s ability to cut through the noise and inspire his teams to think differently makes him a breath of fresh air in our category. This is a much-deserved promotion and one that formalises his role at the heart of the TMW leadership team.

"Dan’s integrated background brings a wealth of experience to the agency and he will be instrumental in writing TMW’s next chapter."

TMW has recently completed work for Vodafone, Lynx, and Shell.
