Marie Claire acquires purpose and sustainability adviser from Unilever
British magazine Marie Claire UK has drafted former communications VP at Unilever, Sara Vaughan, as senior purpose and sustainability adviser.
Vaughan had been Uniliever's VP of sustainable business and global communications until 2016.
Marie Claire is introducing the new role as part of the development of its campaign, ‘Start Somewhere’, which runs yearly and encourages readers to focus on reducing their environmental impact.
It gives people suggestions of practical and incremental changes to make in their lives, affecting their sustainability levels. It is implemented across special Marie Claire editions, as well as through digital and social channels.
Marie Claire UK Editor-in-Chief, Trish Halpin, said: “Now, more than ever, women want to make conscious, mindful choices about the way they live and how they shop, and Marie Claire is committed to showing them the way.
