Posterscope, the out-of-home and location marketing specialist, has appointed Simon Woodward to the newly-created role of Global Commercial Director.

Woodward, who has been chief operating officer of DAN MENA since 2015, will provide trading and commercial support to Posterscope’s global offices.

The company says he will also play a key role in the company’s M&A activity and in the development of its location marketing services.

Woodward has worked on both the agency and client side during his 32-year career in media, beginning in media sales in 1986 before moving into buying with BBJ Media.

He later spent 12 years in Asia with Carat, Mindshare, GroupM, and Universal McCann, where he rose to China CEO.

Commenting on the appointment, Posterscope Worldwide global president Stephen Whyte said: “I am delighted that Simon is joining our worldwide leadership team. His talents and extensive international experience will be very valuable in this exciting period of growth and evolution for Posterscope and the out-of-home medium.”

Woodward added: “I’m very excited to work for Posterscope, within a vibrant and highly professional global network. I am looking forward to contributing to its continued focus on deploying advanced, unique technology and data solutions, ensuring we offer market-leading services to our clients as well as strengthening relationships with our media partners across the globe.”
