Marketing agency RAPP UK has won a pitch to create digital content for the BBC.

The agency will produce content focused on the rivalry of many fans, featuring real fans. Yesterday (March 5th) saw the release the first episode, ahead of the Manchester derby, and brings together fans from Manchester United and Manchester City pitted against each other in a penalty shoot-out.

The episode was hosted by influencers Yung Filly and Chunkz, and the losers had to complete a penalty forfeit.

Each episode will run on the BBC Sport YouTube channel, with three more planned ahead of other tense rivalries including Everton vs. Liverpool, Manchester City vs. Liverpool and Spurs vs. Arsenal. The content will also be broadcast on MOTDx.

Al Mackie, Chief Creative Officer at RAPP UK, said: “We’re really enjoying working with the BBC. This entertaining and fun content not only appeals to football fans, but to a wider audience who enjoy a spot of light hearted competition."
