Network provider Three is hoping to boost brand awareness through its extensive new brand campaign, launching tomorrow to celebrate 5G implementation.

A TV campaign building on its existing 'Phones are good' campaign will be broadcast from February 27th, featuring a speculative look at the world with 5G, and ending with the tagline, 'If it's not Three, it's not real 5G'.

The 'Real 5G' campaign was created by Wieden+Kennedy London, and hopes to celebrate 5G rollout. Three claims to have the best 5G connectivity of its competitors, possessing double the spectrum of any rivals.

It will be supported by OOH, social media and VOD advertising, as well as social media and experiential activations.

Shadi Haliwell, Three CMO, told Marketing Week: "We have the gold standard 5G, which the other guys don’t have. It is time for us to take a giant leap in leading the 5G world.

“5G is not just faster 4G, it is a totally different tech... [like] driverless cars, remote surgery, 3D dating, education where you can learn about the pyramids by going to them in virtual reality. This tech is completely different to anything we have had in the past.”
