Global sports brand Adidas has appointed three agencies to its UK PR roster after a comprehensive six month long pitch process with ten firms competing for the contract.

According to PR industry website, The Holmes Report, an Adidas spokesperson confirmed that Hill+Knowlton Strategies, which has a long-term relationship as Adidas’ incumbent global agency, retains the bulk of the brand’s PR activity in the UK.

However, H+K will also reportedly take on the UK sports performance brief as well as issues and crisis comms.

The Holmes Report also said that newly-appointed W Communications, would be handling Adidas’ UK Originals brief.

The third agency, Hope&Glory, which has previously worked on the running and women’s performance areas of the business, will now be handling projects for the German sports brand.

Earlier this week it was announced the US superstar Beyoncé had signed a partnership deal with Adidas which will see the pop star join as a ‘creative partner’, to help boost footwear sales at the company.
