Somers vacates top marketing job at Domino's Pizza after just seven months in the role
Domino's Pizza is looking for a new UK chief marketing officer after Emily Somers left just seven months into the role.
Somers, who was responsible for sales, brand marketing, new product development and innovation, joined the company only last August having previously been McDonald's most senior UK marketer and running her own brand consultancy.
Her arrival coincided with the departure of chief executive David Wild, whose five years in the job had been beset by arguments with franchisees and increased competition from the likes of Deliveroo and Just Eat.
A spokesperson for Domino’s said: "Emily has decided to leave Domino’s and we wish her the very best of luck for the future. We’ll announce Emily’s successor in due course."
Its creative is handled by VCCP, who won the £10m UK ad account from Iris three years ago, and a recent campaign had sought to highlight the benefits of a comfortable night in with a Domino's Pizza over a night out.
