Global artists group, United Talent Agency, has appointed marketing expert Sean Hill as director of tour marketing in its music division in London.

Hill joins from rival agency ATM Artists and will be based in UTA's London office and focus on tour marketing and promotional initiatives for the company’s music clients worldwide excluding North & South America.

"We are thrilled to have Sean join our expanding global team”, said Eddie Clemens, UTA's head of tour marketing.

“His wealth of experience working on marketing initiatives across both labels and management is hugely beneficial to the new role and we look forward to being able to add value to our clients' campaigns out of the London office”.

Breadth of experience

Hill has spent the last five years at Amy Thomson's ATM Artists, where he was initially hired as head of digital in 2012.

This saw him working across the company’s live agency and artist management divisions, providing digital and social strategy to all of ATM's artists, including Swedish House Mafia, Alesso and Axwell Ingrosso.

In 2014, he was relocated to LA, but returned to London in 2016 for a brief stint as a consultant for Syco Music. He later re-joined ATM as head of marketing.

Whilst there he oversaw all tour marketing, recorded music marketing and partnerships for clients including Swedish House Mafia, Axwell Ingrosso, DJ Snake, Chase & Status and Seal.

Previous to ATM, Hill worked at Lucid Group, where he worked on digital promotions for Mama Group, Epic, EMI, RCA, Island and Syco Music. The business was acquired by Sony Music Entertainment in 2010 which led to a period in-house at RCA Records working on Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Alicia Keys.

Hill began his career in 2007 at Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (UK) assisting the theatrical marketing team at the European head office based in Hammersmith, London.  He worked across titles including Pirates of The Caribbean, Ratatouille and Sin City.

Hill graduated from Cardiff University where he received a BSc Hons in Business Administration. He currently lives in Canning Town, east London.
