JDO appoints Business Director to drive US growth
London and South East-based international design and innovation consultancy, JDO, has strengthened its global branding offering with the appointment of Ellie Hansen as US Business Director.
JDO is headquartered in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and has offices in London and opened in New York to drive its US expansion ambitions.
A strategic brand and design expert with over 20 years’ of industry experience, Hansen will oversee all client relations, creative delivery and business operations for the award-winning agency’s portfolio of US-based clients.
New York base
Based in JDO’s New York space, she will also be responsible for extending JDO’s reach throughout the US and other North American territories.
Hansen has worked across three continents in multiple sectors with such notable brands as Unilever, Diageo and Asia-Pacific Breweries.
“With exciting projects in the works and a growing client portfolio, we have a strong vision and great ambitions for JDO in the US”, said JDO Managing Director Fiona Florence.
“Ellie and I cut our teeth together in brand design 20 years ago. We learned a lot and laughed a lot, and she made a great impression with her strong track record for driving effective creative and innovation campaigns.
“It’ll be great to be working with Ellie again! We can think of no one better to lead the way to success.”
Prior to joining JDO, she served as Senior Client Director at Design Bridge New York, where she led the global brand alignment drive for Trident gum as well as managing diverse creative teams to help build out the Mastercard design centre.
She also founded and ran Ishimodo Brand and Design, an independent agency based in Melbourne.
“I’ve known Flo as well as JDO’s creative founders Ben Oates and Paul Drake for many years, and can confidently say that their talent and passion is second to none in the industry”, Hansen said.
“I am incredibly excited to be joining the group as it continues to globally expand, and am very eager to introduce JDO to American brands that will no doubt discover what I already know about the agency’s high standards for strategic thinking and creative excellence.”
