Creative Agency Atomic London has launched an initiative called 'Creative Roots' to inspire the next generation of talent.

In partnership with Homebase UK and the BA (Hons) Creative Advertising degree course at Leeds Art University, Atomic London's senior leadership team is dedicating a week of time to set a creative pitch brief.

Each of this year’s 16 creative teams will have an opportunity to review their ideas with Atomic Creative Partners Dave Henderson and Guy Bradbury, where they will be given extended facetime to help each team shape their big ideas.

In the final stage, the teams will head to London in May to pitch their ideas to senior clients from Homebase, Atomic and a panel that includes the AAR and others.

The winning team will win an eight-week placement at Atomic, for further on-the-job training and the chance to be hired at the end of it.

Keen to attract everyone on the course from diverse backgrounds, Atomic will also pay London accommodation costs to the value of £2000.

Course Leader Fabio Fragiacomo says “Creative agencies are missing out on so much talent these days, because the next generation of talent simply can’t afford to tour their book around London for up to 2 years.

"The initiative by Atomic London gives teams that essential facetime with ECD’s. It’s by far one of the most exciting briefs my students will work on all year, the one that guarantees a tangible outcome for the winning team and measurable experience for all."
